Watchlist Internet is an independent online platform dedicated to combating Internet fraud. The ÖIAT initiative informs individuals and companies about current cases of Internet fraud. It also provides tips on how to protect oneself against Internet fraud. The research department of ÖIAT is linked to the work of Watchlist Internet in many projects, especially in the areas of fraud detection and prevention.

Watchlist Internet is the most important platform in Austria when it comes to the protection of consumers against fraud on the Internet. With up-to-date warnings, helpful tips and a wide range of resources, Watchlist Internet provides information about scams such as phishing, fake shops and investment fraud. The aim is to empower users and help them navigate the internet safely.

ÖIAT's research is directly related to this work. We focus on fraud prevention and detection. The results of our research flow directly into the work of Watchlist Internet, helping us to identify new forms of fraud at an early stage and to warn consumers even better. This combination of practical knowledge and scientific analysis gives us a sound basis for effectively tackling the challenges of the digital world.
